Has it been warm enough for everyone??

We have had quite a week at The Cove!!! On Saturday Hubby finally tested negative for Covid and my stomach allowed the invisible toilet tether to be broken and I headed back into work.  Sensibly, so I thought, I asked my beloved hubby(!) as to what he thought the weather would be doing that day... his confident reply was 'it will break by lunchtime and be raining and cooler this afternoon'

By 12 o'clock in my full length dungarees and having sorted three  of the seven boxes of stock that awaited me on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year I was as puce as stylecraft fuschia purple and felt as sick as meadow green!!! if my throat hadn't been too dry  to swear his name would have been mud!!!!! lol

However the yarn that I unpacked was the Ella Rae Eco Tweed and it is stunning.  The tweed flecks mean that the colours go way beyond the initial hit of strength into subtle back hues. A meterage of 300m per 100grams also means that the price of £13 isn't to steep for a superwash ethical garment.

the Sirdar Jewlspun chunky with wool also landed this week.

Once again the colours a gorgeous and being a chunky it's a quick knit option ...what's not to love? This one retails for £13 for 200g, I need to find the meterage for you. For any fellow Adriafil lovers it reminds of some of their colorways.  I will take individual photos and get them on the site for you shortly.

Finally for this Woolley week Hayfield Baby Blossom Chunky - a self patterning yarn that I am making a quick baby jumper out of at the mo. It is a joy to knit really soft and silky, when I have finished I will post a piccky and also put the yarn on the website for you to purchase xx
